Imagination Ashe, a local non-profit here in Ashe county, is near and dear to my heart. I have been on the Board of Directors since 2012 and consider this group of ladies some great friends and go-getters in the community! We raise funds, as the local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, to provide free books to children ages birth to 5 years old in Ashe County. All funds are generated locally and we have been so blessed in the past ten years with this program! We currently have 753 preschoolers enrolled in the program; have graduated (aged out) 1,250 children and our kids have received more than 60,300 books since Imagination Ashe started in 2006.

This Event last night was held at Backstreet Park in downtown West Jefferson as a kick off to our 10-year celebration and Step Project Reveal. Music was provided by the talented Julie Lee, of Nashville, and Ashe County native Taylon Hope Miller. The celebration continues today with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 2pm.
